RESPONSIBILITIES
A three-member Board of Trustees governs the Cherry Valley Fire Protection District. Each trustee is appointed to three-year terms that are staggered.
The board is responsible for the budget and the policy of the district. The board is active in Fire District functions, including open houses, promotional ceremonies, and other activities involving the community.
MEETINGS
Meetings are held at 5:15 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the Cherry Valley Fire Protection District Administrative Center.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Board of Trustees of the Cherry Valley Fire Protection District, Winnebago and Boone Counties, Illinois, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Budget and Appropriations Ordinance for the fiscal year 2026–2027. The public hearing will take place at 5:15 P.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at District Station Two, located at 4919 Blackhawk Road, Rockford, Illinois 61109, during a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees.

that a tentative copy of the proposed Budget and Appropriations Ordinance will be available for public inspection, by appointment, at District Station Two, 4919 Blackhawk Road, Rockford, Illinois 61109, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, beginning June 9, 2026.
